As I spent time with the Lord and prayed over the lives and places of people that I’ve met here as well as people at home a couple mornings ago I realized that some of the people/ places I am consistently praying over have been those that have hurt me in the past and things that I’m still learning to walk in forgiveness from. I wrote down in my journal “What does it look like to pray for someone you need to mend the relationship of ?” with hopes of sitting and praying a lot on this question. The Lord very quickly gave me insight and the realization praying and interceding not just occasionally but everyday is the greatest way to love someone. Through intercession, I am able to ask for the Lords hands over their hearts & His provision through the mending of our relationship. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says “ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth.” Prayer  is one of the most selfless ways to love because it doesn’t get shown off, it is a conversation that’s kept between me and God and even when I can’t think to start reconciliation with someone the Lord begins working on my heart to grow my desire to do so.

I write this blog to show the crazy things that God is doing in my heart but also as an encouragement to pray without ceasing for people in your life especially those who have hurt you over and over, because nothing will bring greater reconciliation than the fulfillment of who the Lord is. So here’s to God and the love that He has for His kids & their hearts!!

  1. always interesting on how when we think we will be ministering to someone else we find that God is ministering to us! Keep on growing and becoming – it looks great on YOU!

  2. This is a beautiful post. He spoke to me and reminded me of some people that I need to be putting before the father in prayer so my heart could be prepared for what God wants. Thank you Kayla
