welcome back to a blog that’s a little all over the place

I’m supposed to be in Guatemala right now and I've been thinking about that a lot. I want that so bad for me and my whole squad. I’m learning to walk in the Lord’s will for my life and for right now it isn’t Guatemala it’s Georgia. This has caused me to intentionally align my heart to trust the Lord’s plans, instead of my own desires.

I’ve also begun to love the simple things.

The other night after my team had finished up team time, my leader pulled out a box wrapped in the paper towel wrappers (because we’re all working with what we have) and handed it to me.  I opened it up (with confusion lol what) and my sweet sweet team  bought me a brand new bible without me knowing. I wept with joy because I am so undeserving of this love and thoughtfulness from these girls. It also was a reminder of the love that the Father has for me. If these humans can love me in a way that I don’t understand, I can’t even begin to comprehend how much He loves me. Crazy. Mind blown. Again.

Yesterday was for sure one of my favorite days since being here in Georgia. We started our morning with a deep dive into the book of James, watched my friend Marissa fall in the mud, drove gators filled with firewood to our campsite, and had chick fil a for dinner. Such a normal, simple day but I continually stopped throughout the day to say “Thanks God”. Because it was such a beautiful day!!

As I write this blog, my squad and I are headed to DeQuincy, LA to work with Samaritan’s purse with hurricane relief for the next week. We are so excited to take what we’ve been learning over the past month into the “real world” Praying for God to continue moving in crazy ways but this time in Louisiana.

Also another side note, I have less than $800 left to raise before January. Tell your mom to tell her mom to tell her mom.

thx for reading,
