friends!!
my world race officially ended about a week ago but i am so excited to still be able to write blogs & tell the story of what God is doing which goes much further than my world race. quick thank you thank you thank you to each person who has chosen to follow along this season of life with me- i am so grateful & honored to have been able to let you in on everything.
processing & grieving the end of the world race & coming home has been so weird. it looks nothing like i thought itd look & sometimes that hurts. my eyes have been open to how often we set expectations for exactly how things are going to go & if they don’t go that way we are let down. my own ideas for how this season would look have been wrong & it’s left me confused and hurt but also an opportunity for me to invite the Lord into what i’m feeling & going through. really cool stuff!!!
in the midst of noticing all my subconsciously made expectations, something that has blown me away in the past 6 days at home has been how kind God is. He didn’t stop loving me when I landed in America or when I started to unpack my backpack that’s held my life in it for the past couple months. i don’t know about you, but the idea that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords heart is FOR me. like He wants good things for me, His daughter. blows. me. away.
i have seen God’s kindness show up in conversations with hometown friends, co-workers at my lifeguarding job, & even the 7 year old I babysit. places I didn’t think of God showing up, He does so evidently.
so while my world race has ended , my race that the author of Hebrews writes of has really so much left to it. eek! how exciting
&&& for a fun life update / announcement!!
this fall, i’ll be team leading ! i get to go back & do 3 more moths of race life & lead some pretty cool racers. the Lord so clearly called me to this position & i’m so stoked about the testimony of His faithfulness that’s led me to leadership like what?!
for this next season- you guessed it! i’m fundraising again! i need to raise $3,000. God showed up over & over again in fundraising for my race so I have doubt He’ll do it again.
if you’d like to continue or join in on partnering with me for this next step (whether that be in prayer or financially) make sure you’re subscribed to my blog to keep up & just hit the donate bar to contribute financially!
