’22

at the end of year and the start to another i sit & journal about all the things this year gave to me,  took away & the things i hope & dream of for the next one. 

 

i started this about 5 years ago in a random school notebook. it’s been the sweetest tradition to come back to and now invite the Lord into (cheers to real relationship!) 

 

as i shuffle through used up journals to find the same old notebook i first started this all in , i look back at the things i said at the end of 2020, 2019, 2018, & 2017. those years held some deep loss & mess ups as i started to figure out life. but really i can’t help but thank God for who i was , who i am , & who i’m becoming  & how’s he’s made all three of those “kaylas” piece together. & i think that’s the way it should be ???

 

2021 was a year of new. A time of breaking down and then building up. a year of looking back and forward and seeing just how the Lord intertwined the both of them so well. it seemed as if the year gave abundant friendships, joy, & Jesus. The Lord is so so much bigger to me than He was entering 2021. He’s always been the same God ; just revealing more and more of His character as He develops maturity within me. 

 

As I was praying for vision for this year, I just sat in awe & wonder of how the Lord still has more for me !! I was reminded of Ephesians 3:20 that says “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”

 

all praise to You ! 

 

 

so as i walk into T W E N T Y T W E N T Y T W O holding onto a phrase that can’t leave my mind “it’s not what i choose to do , but it’s how I choose to do it. “ I have open arms as the Lord takes me deeper & deeper into the unknown. & I am ready for a year that stretches me to bring more Kingdom.

I am still currently fundraising for CGA, the discipleship program that I am starting in uhhhh …10 days ! We have fundraised about $800 & am hoping to fundraise $1,200 before I get to Georgia !
